I definitely don’t claim to be the arbiter of Good Taste in music.  I listen to a lot of different types of music, such as alternative rock, hard rock, r&b, hip hop, top 40s, etc… When I started taking ballroom dance classes, I started listenting to more jazz and latin music as well since my favorite dances were always swing and latin dancing. I actually grew up listening to a lot of 90’s r&b and hip hop and listened to only that until somewhere along the line, I decided to have an open mind and explore other genres of music.
Anyways, during this beach shingdig we had some songs by Weezer, Paramore, Halsey, and even Glen Miller playing.  This is the reaction I got when the first hip hop song started playing.  Next time I’ll read the audience better and choose a playlist accordingly.

I’ve come across people that have the mindset that they have absolutely great taste in music.  In my opinion, we all have our own taste and preferences and I don’t expect people to love my taste in music and vice versa, which is why I tend to wear big headphones when I listen to music at the beach, rather than blast my music from my boom box bag.
